Faith Academy Charter School, Rowan County’s only charter school, has grown rapidly since its inception, after the closing of the public school in Faith in 2021.

A ninth grade has been added, along with additional classrooms in first, second, and third grades.

A total of 807 students are enrolled for the current academic year. This meets the board’s enrollment goal.

The school has a wait list of more than 350 families, after adding 307 students for the 2023-’24 school year.

New students are chosen each year by lottery.

The school is tuition-free.

Our new school building was completed early fall 2023 to house grades K-9 the first year.

The former public school will be renovated to house grades 9-12.

The board plans to add an additional grade level each school year until reaching the goal of K-12.
Faith Academy Charter School was voted Best Elementary and Middle School in Rowan County by readers of The Salisbury Post in 2022-’23.
Phase I, The Need
Charter schools are funded by the North Carolina Department of Public Education at 34% less per student than public schools. State money is not available for charter school facilities.

How to Donate
★ Graduating classes of Faith School are encouraged to pool funding to make the most impact, giving gifts in honor of their class.
★ Extended families/siblings who graduated from Faith School are encouraged to pool each family's gifts for the most impact, giving gifts in memory or in honor of entire family units.
★ Individuals or groups are encouraged to give in memory or in honor of former teachers and/or administrators of Faith School.
★ Chancellor’s Team: $100,000 - $200,000
★ Superintendent’s Team: $50,000 - $99,999
★ Administrator’s Team: $25,000 - $49,999
★ Teachers’ Team: $10,000 - $24,999
★ Graduates’ Team: $5,000 - $9,999
★ Patriots Team: $2,500 - $4,999
★ School House Team: $1,000 - $2,499
★ (300 giving $1,000 pays for the school building):
★ Middle and High School Team: $500 - $999
★ Elementary School Team (Patriot Pennies Campaign): $250 -$499
★ Faith Foundation Team: $100 - $249

★ 30 Classroom Areas: $10,000 gift
Total - $300,000 (pays for the initial school purchase)
