Faith Academy Charter School, Rowan County’s only charter school, has grown rapidly since its inception, after the closing of the public school in Faith in 2021.
The 2026–27 school year marks a major milestone as we introduce twelfth grade and increase classroom capacity in K–8, allowing us to serve more students and strengthen our educational community.
More than 450 families join our wait list each year, a powerful testament to the need for expanded access to our school.
To ensure equal access, new students are selected each year through an open lottery.
The school is proudly tuition-free, expanding access to high-quality education.
In October 2023, we celebrated the completion of our new school building, a significant investment in the future of students in grades K - 8.
A renovated former public school building now supports our high school students in grades 9 through 11.
Voted Best Elementary and Middle School in Rowan County by readers of The Salisbury Post in 2022-’23.
Charter schools are funded by the North Carolina Department of Public Education at 34% less per student than public schools. State money is not available for charter school facilities.
